WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?

This depends on the needs of the project. Most simple sites will be between $300-$500.

WHY DO YOU ONLY CREATE WIX WEBSITES?

I have used other platforms in the past and have found the Wix is simple, user-friendly and creates beautiful sites. They also allow a totally free site for people who are just getting started. Because Wix is easy to use, it is easy for me to turn the completed site over to you in the future so you can update your content without having to go through me.

HOW DO I GET A DOMAIN NAME OR URL?

A domain name is your unique URL such as www.yourbusinessname.com. There are two options for a domain name, outlined below.

FREE OPTION

Wix provides a free domain URL such as www.<yourbusinessname>.wixsite.com/website. I then can create a free bit.ly shortened version like bit.ly/<yourbusinessname> that fits nicely on business cards and is easier to remember. This is what I have done for Little Fish Formations and for other clients. It's a great way to get going without spending anything. And honestly, these days, because so many domains are already taken, it can be hard to get a paid domain name that matches your business name in any meaningful way. So going the free route makes some sense. The only two drawbacks are that Wix displays a small ad banner at the top of your site (visible at the top of this site) and of course, you don't have a custom domain. But you can always start with the free option and pay to upgrade at any time to connect a custom domain. See below.

PAID OPTION

Step 1: Buy a domain name from a service like domain.com or gaitorhost.com.

Step 2: Upgrade your Wix account to one of their Premium plans. These range from $5 to $25/month. All upgraded plans allow you to attach your custom domain and all except the $5 option remove Wix ads.

HOW IS HOSTING HANDLED?

Wix hosts your site for free no matter what plan you have.

HOW DO I GET AN EMAIL ACCOUNT?

FREE OPTION

If you want free email, you can create a gmail account for <yourbusinessname>@gmail.com. 

PAID OPTION

If you want a custom email account of something like hello@<yourbusinessname>.com then you can pay $5/mo for a Gsuite account. You can either sign up for that directly through Google or do Gsuite through a Wix Premium plan for the same cost.

HOW IS MAINTENANCE HANDLED?

I can maintain your site for free for now, assuming there would just be the occasional price change or additional service. If later we decide it makes more sense for you to do it, then I can do a quick training session with you so that you can log in and make your changes--it's easy.

HOW DO WE GET STARTED/WHAT'S THE PROCESS?

1. We'd have a phone call to assess your needs. You'd provide your business name, description, tagline, URL (if you own one), logo, content (text/images). If you don't have any of these things, I can help you!

2. I create a mock Wix site and get your feedback.

3. I tweak the Wix site to your liking and then publish.
